AGENDA REGULAR SESSION OF THE SLATER CITY COUNCIL

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF  SLATER, IOWA, WILL MEET AT CITY HALL , 105 GREENE ST.,  SLATER, IOWA AT 7:30  P.M. ON THE 3RD DAY OF MARCH, 2008, TO CONSIDER THE MATTERS ON THE AGENDA BELOW:

1.      Call the meeting to order – Roll Call ( 7:30 P.M. )

2.      Consent agenda: these items are considered to be routine items and may be enacted by one motion.  There will be no separate discussion on these items unless a Council Member or Citizen requests it.  In which event, the item will be removed from the general order of business and considered separately

  • Approve and place on file the minutes of the regular meeting of  March 3, 2008
  • Approval of expenditures 

3.      Citizen input forum is an opportunity for citizens to speak to the Council on matters not listed on the agenda NOTE no formal action can be taken on matters not listed on the agenda. ( 7:35 )

  • Inspection contract with the Building Inspectors
  • Generators for water supply/lagoon
  • Public hearing on the 2008-2009 Fiscal year budget
  • Consideration of Resolution 13 (2007-2008) RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 2008 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2009

  • Economic Development job description
  • Economic Development building and land options and updates
  • City Hall hours
  • Pool & Concession ads/hiring date

Pursuant to Chapter 21 of the Code of Iowa, this notice is given at the direction of the Mayor at least 24 hours prior to the commencement of the meeting.  The official notice was posted at the City Hall accessible to the public.
