PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SLATER, IOWA, WILL MEET AT CITY HALL, 105 GREENE ST., SLATER, IOWA AT 7:30 P.M. ON THE 16th DAY OF APRIL, 2007, TO CONSIDER THE MATTERS ON THE AGENDA BELOW:

Call the meeting to order – Roll Call (7:30 P.M.)

Citizen input forum is an opportunity for citizens to speak to the Council on matters not listed on the agenda NOTE no formal action can be taken on matters not listed on the agenda

Fire Dept. Liquor License

Proclamation on Motorcycle Awareness Month

Consent agenda: these items are considered to be routine items and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion on these items unless a Council Member or Citizen requests it. In which event, the item will be removed from the general order of business and considered separately. (7:40)

Approve and place on file the minutes of the special meeting March 30, 2007 & regular meeting April 2, 2007

Approval of expenditures

Old Business: (7:40 P.M. – 8:30 P.M.)

Closed Session to discuss strategy with counsel in matters that are presently in litigation or where litigation is imminent where its disclosure would be likely to prejudice or disadvantage the position of the governmental body in that litigation

Appropriate follow-up on Pool related matters

Update and make part of the records reductions to the costs of storm water engineering agreements

P & Z Commission recommendation regarding professional planning services related to the Zoning Code

Cemetery Board recommendation regarding lot sale fees

Cemetery Board recommendation of Steve Ray to fill the vacancy created by resignation of Casey Mallon

Discuss status of spring street maintenance issues

City Administrator’s health insurance increase April 1, 2007 from $275.80 to $286.80
