AGENDA REGULAR SESSION OF THE SLATER CITY COUNCIL
7:30 MONDAY JUNE 18, 2007
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SLATER,
IOWA, WILL MEET AT CITY HALL, 105 GREENE ST., SLATER, IOWA AT 7:30 P.M. ON THE 18th
DAY OF JUNE, 2007, TO CONSIDER THE MATTERS ON THE AGENDA BELOW:
1. Call the meeting to order – Roll Call (7:30 P.M.)
2. Citizen input forum is an opportunity for citizens to speak to the
Council on matters not listed on the agenda NOTE no
formal action can be taken on matters not listed on the agenda
3. Introduce Mary Beth Chinery, ISU Graduate student interning at the
City Administrative Offices
4. Consent agenda: these items are considered to be routine items and
may be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion on these
items unless a Council Member or Citizen requests it. In which event, the item
will be removed from the general order of business and considered separately
(7:40)
- Approve and place on file the minutes of the regular meeting May 31,
2007
- Approval of expenditures
5. Old Business: (7:40 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.)
- True North Health insurance renewal due June 20, 2007 (Jim Underfer
present to answer additional questions)
- Continue discussion and consideration of appropriate ordinance action
regarding sewer, water, & solid waste recovery/clean-up rates
- Update on Four mile creek storm water modeling
- Incorporate City Attorney’s comments concerning the Storm water
utility ordinance
6. New Business: (9:00 – 9:30)
- Beer & Liquor Licenses
- Cigarette Permits
- Developer requests that the City Council initiate Zoning Change (refer
to P&Z)
- Set Special Council meeting to address items such as Fiscal year
2007-2008 Salary Resolution; annual review of Employee Personnel
Policies; Develop and adopt Transfer Resolution from Local Option Sales
Tax to appropriate budget categories, address other Fiscal Year End
issues; and follow-up action from 6-18-07 agenda regarding utilities if
appropriate.

Pursuant to Chapter 21 of the Code of Iowa, this notice is given at the
direction of the Mayor at least 24 hours prior to the commencement of the
meeting. The official notice was posted at the City Hall accessible to the
public.
