PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SLATER, IOWA, WILL MEET AT CITY HALL, 105 GREENE ST., SLATER, IOWA AT 7:30 P.M. ON THE 25th DAY OF JUNE, 2007, TO CONSIDER THE MATTERS ON THE AGENDA BELOW:

1.  Call the meeting to order – Roll Call (7:30 P.M.)

2.  Citizen input forum is an opportunity for citizens to speak to the Council on matters not listed on the agenda NOTE no formal action can be taken on matters not listed on the agenda

3.  Consent agenda: these items are considered to be routine items and may be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate  discussion on these items unless a Council Member or Citizen requests it. In which event, the item will be removed from the general order of business and considered separately (7:40)

• Approve and place on file the minutes of the regular meeting June 18, 2007
• Approval of expenditures

4.  New Business: (7:45 – 9:30)

• Closed session pursuant to Iowa Code Section 21.5(i) to evaluate an employee at that employees request
• Work Session to prepare Fiscal year 2007-2008 Salary Resolution
• Approve revision of Employment Policies and Procedures
• Develop and adopt Transfer Resolution from Local Option Sales Tax to appropriate budget categories
• Other Fiscal Year End issues
• Beer & Liquor Licenses
• Cigarette Permits
•  Discussion and approval of public works employee applicant
