PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SLATER, IOWA, WILL MEET AT CITY HALL, 105 GREENE ST., SLATER, IOWA AT 7:30 P.M. ON THE 16^th DAY OF JULY, 2007, TO CONSIDER THE MATTERS ON THE AGENDA BELOW:

1. Call the meeting to order – Roll Call (7:30 P.M.)

2. Citizen input forum is an opportunity for citizens to speak to the Council on matters not listed on   the agenda NOTE no formal action can be taken on matters not listed on the agenda

• Beth Gaul regarding policy on after hour pool party fees for approximately 100 individuals

3. Consent agenda: these items are considered to be routine items and may be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion on these items unless a Council Member or Citizen requests it. In which event, the item will be removed from the general order of business and considered separately (7:40)

• Approve and place on file the minutes of the regular meeting July 2, 2007 meeting

• Consider AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A STORMWATER UTILITY (223)
• Consider AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13.12.070 AND ESTABLISHING NEW RATES FOR SEWER SERVICE AND USE
• Consider AN ORDINANCE AMENDING REGULATIONS FOR BILLING AND COLLECTION FOR COMBINED UTILITY SERVICE ACCOUNTS
• Consider AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A SOLID WASTE RECOVERY UTILITY (if available from Attorney)

• Take Down Bar & Grill - Cigarette application
• Methodist Church request for street closing for Vacation Bible School
• Discuss purchasing policy for 2007-2008
• Public Works Director recommendation regarding purchase of mower
• Staff recommendation regarding used office equipment $300.
• Authorize submittal of REAP application for an additional $75,000.
• Consider appointment of Dan Gonnerman to Planning & Zoning Commission
