PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SLATER, IOWA, WILL MEET AT CITY HALL, 105 GREENE ST., SLATER, IOWA AT 7:30 P.M. ON THE 15TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 2007, TO CONSIDER THE MATTERS ON THE AGENDA BELOW:

1.  Call the meeting to order – Roll Call (7:30 P.M.)

2.  Citizen input forum is an opportunity for citizens to speak to the Council on matters not listed on the agenda NOTE no formal action can be taken on matters not listed on the agenda.

• Lights On Proclamation from Youth & Shelter Services Kids Club (after school program)

3. Consent agenda: these items are considered to be routine items and may be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion on these items unless a Council Member or Citizen requests it. In which event, the item will be removed from the general order of business and considered separately (7:40)

• Approve and place on file the minutes of the regular meetings of October 1, 2007
• Approval of expenditures

• Gary Reiners/PMRG P & Z ordinance and growth policies
• PMRG Human Resources scope of services proposal
• Discussion of resignation of Public Works Director and follow-up staffing
• Official Grant award of $75,000 REAP grant for multi-use trail

• Saylorville Dam Snowmobile Club request for use of 210 Right-of-way
• SBA request City payment of monthly utility costs for lighting of Slater sign
• Ordinance setting speed limits on R-38
