Goals
Short Term Goals
- File for and obtain Articles of incorporation from the Iowa Secretary of State
- Solicit and increase membership (local and country wide)
- Develop a funding base
- Prepare and distribute communications
- Participate in town activities (4th of July celebrations etc.)
- Continue contact with the Story County Historical Alliance
- Work with the library to preserve copies of the Slater News and Tri County Times
Long Term Goals
- Maintain Association Visibility
- Continue seeking membership and financial support
- Apply for grants and establish firm financial base
- Plan an provide projects and events that will enhance the association
- Collect artifacts and records for preservation
